The Whiskey Gentleman's Club · Podcast
"Pour a glass. Pull up a chair. Meet the people building the whiskey scene."
Guest & Show Kit — Season One · Columbus, Ohio

One · The Show

A whiskey podcast with the soul of a gentleman's club. Each episode, we sit down with the people making, pouring, and collecting bourbon in Ohio — distillers, bar buyers, club leaders, collectors — and give them a platform to tell their story over a real pour.

Format: Bi-weekly, 45–60 minutes, recorded in person or remote. Every episode features a tasting segment — the guest's whiskey, on the record.

Season One: 14 episodes, September 2026 – March 2027, anchored to the Columbus whiskey calendar (Great Bourbon Affair, Barrels & Badges, holiday allocation season).

The promise: no scripts, no gotchas, no dead air. Just bourbon, conversation, and a platform for the guest.

Two · Show Architecture

Every episode follows the same six-movement structure, so guests always know where they are — and the conversation always flows:

MovementTimeWhat happens
1 · The Intro0–5 minWho you are, what's in your glass, why listeners should care. The guest is the star from second one.
2 · The Origin5–15 minThe story: the first time bourbon clicked, who poured it, the bottle that started everything.
3 · The Craft15–30 minYour world: mash bills and barrels for distillers; shelves and allocation hunts for collectors and buyers.
4 · The Pour30–40 minThe centerpiece. We taste the bottle you brought — nose, first sip, finish. On the record, no rush.
5 · The Scene40–52 minThe Ohio whiskey scene, the club, the state of things. Your take, uncut.
6 · Rapid Fire & Close52–60 minFast questions, hot takes, and a final word — where listeners can find you, and one last pour.

Timing flexes for 45-minute episodes; the structure never changes.

Three · What The Guest Gets

The Platform
  • A full episode built around your story — not a soundbite
  • Your whiskey tasted and talked about on the record
  • Instagram feature: episode art, clips, and a reel
  • Direct promotion of your distillery, bar, or club
  • Cross-promotion to the gentleman's club community
The Experience
  • A relaxed conversation over real pours — no scripts, no gotchas
  • Pre-interview prep sheet so you know exactly what's coming
  • Questions you can answer fully — your stories are the material
  • Approve nothing, change nothing: you sound like you
  • A standing invitation to the club

Four · Pre-Interview Sheet (sent to guests 48 hours before recording)

Before we sit down, four simple asks. Answer as much or as little as you like — the best episodes are built on your own material:

  1. Three pours you love right now. Any three — a daily sipper, an indulgence, a wildcard. One of them becomes our tasting segment.
  2. One story. A moment, a failure, a win, a strange encounter — anything from your life in whiskey. We'll build questions around it.
  3. One hot take. The opinion that gets you in arguments at the bar. We save it for the rapid-fire segment.
  4. One person who influenced you. The grandfather, mentor, or bartender who started it all. This opens our origin segment.
